<description lang=fr>Selon le Consensus de Washington (1989), la Banque mondiale et les institutions internationales, la bonne gouvernance signifie la gestion saine du développement. L’objectif du présent article est d’analyser le lien entre bonne gouvernance et développement économique dans le cas des Etats insulaires. Après l’examen de la bonne gouvernance dans le cas particulier des Etats insulaires, nous utilisons la méthodologie de l’analyse en composantes principales afin de distinguer les caractéristiques institutionnelles et la gouvernance des économies insulaires selon leur niveau de développement économique.</description>
<description lang=en>According to Washington Consensus (1989), World Bank and international institutions, good governance means sound development management. The aim of this paper is to analyze the link between good governance and economic development in the case study of Island States. After the examination of the good governance in Island States, we use the principal component analysis in order to distinguish the institutional characteristics and the governance of the Island States in accordance with their level of development.</description>
