<description lang=es>El presente artículo tiene como objetivo, valorar la conducta ética del profesional en turismo como elemento incidente en el servicio innovador y sostenible de la actividad turística. Es un análisis crítico ya que en él se da una relación constructiva de la teoría y la práctica, de lo que es y el deber ser de las ejecuciones de los profesionales del turismo. Para su abordaje se procedió a un estudio documental, basado en la revisión bibliográfica de material actualizado sobre el tema en cuestión, llegando a la conclusión de que toda innovación turística, desde la identificación y conversión de recurso turístico hasta su puesta en valor como producto turístico, requiere de un sistema de información turística, de una tecnología. Además el turismo sostenible es una estrategia que promueve el desarrollo de comunidades con riquezas paisajísticas, culturales, ambientales, etc. La práctica ética del profesional en turismo es determinante en la calidad del servicio hotelero innovador y en esa medida se contribuye a que éste sea sostenible en el tiempo.</description>
