Part of the “sugar works” yard of the Good Hope Plantation in Trelawny, Jamaica. Sugar cane would be processed in the sugar mill and the juice would then be carried across the river in an aqueduct which ran along the bridge to the factory, where sugar was made. A woman is standing at the arched entrance of this building, which has a breadfruit tree growing nearby. As of 2013, this building, which has Caribbean Georgian architectural elements, has been the home of the Pottery Studio. For many years, the building has held the studio for Jamaican potter David Pinto, whose work is part of the permanent collection of The National Gallery of Jamaica.
