In the distance is a green painted building and antennas, which are part of the United States Air Force missile tracking station that was located on Allen Cays, Exuma, Bahamas. During February of 1957, this group of people travelled on the boat “Isabella” to many of the smaller islands of the Abacos, including Green Turtle Cay, Great Guana Cay, Allen Cay, and Grand Cay. These men accompanied William Junior Bryant during a fishing trip to the Bahamas in 1948. Images from the trip were featured in Bryant’s book “Flames of Life: A Pictorial Philosophy,” first published in 1961. Slide labeled Northern Exumas.
