Université des Antilles Description : En résonance avec le Festival La Caravelle fait ses bulles qui se tiendra les 12, 13 et 14 octobre sur le thème des « enfants terribles », la BU du Campus de Schoelcher consacre une après-midi d'études à la perception de la bande dessinée comme marge littéraire et aux représentations de la marginalité sociale et urbaine dans les bandes dessinées. En effet, la bande dessinée est "un objet culturel non identifié" selon Thierry Groensteen. Les situations, les décors comme les personnages se développent dans un art hybride entre graphisme et littérature. La marginalité est donc double, à la fois, historiquement, dans la forme et dans les sujets mis en textes et dessins. Pour discuter de cette thématique, le festival a invité sept auteurs de bandes dessinées représentant une large palette des différentes typologies de la bande dessinée : documentaire, voyage d'exploration, science-fiction, adaptation littéraire, etc. Sept dessinateurs et scénaristes sont invités : Marguerite Abouet, auteur notamment de la série Aya de Yopougon ; Julie Blanchin Fujita, qui a fait de son séjour au Japon un récit dessiné ; Benjamin Flao, dont le dernier héros fait l'école buissonnière dans un village du littoral kenyan ; François Gabourg, dont le prochain album concerne la relation dominant/dominé vue par le prisme de l'esclavage ; Grégory Mahieux, qui met en images l'expérience de la relation avec un enfant sourd ; Hervé Tanquerelle, dont le double, dessinateur de BD, part dans une expédition folle au Groenland ; Lucas Vallerie qui narre l'ambiance de Saint-Pierre avant et après l'éruption de la Pelée, avec son personnage principal Cyparis. They captured, sacked and burned St. Augustine, May 28-30, 1586, and then returned to England. An Italian artist living in London, Baptista Boazio, made engravings of the attacks. Boazio's 1588 view of St. Augustine is the first map of a city north of Mexico City. De Bry reproduced Boazio's maps in Part VIII of the Grand Voyages (Latin in 1599, German in 1600).
