A view of the wake of a boat and other boats off the coast of Bimini, Bahamas. Bimini, the closest Bahamian island to the United States, is made up of two main islands, North Bimini and South Bimini, and several cays. Flowing north of Bimini is the Gulf Stream, a northward-flowing ocean current in the western North Atlantic Ocean. A row boat can be seen laying of the shore. The Exumas, an archipelago of 365 cays and islands in the Bahamas, consists of three main areas: Great Exuma, Little Exuma and The Exuma Cays.
