The home is of the bohio, thatched palm wood huts On the bottom of the outside walls you can see large rocks that are placed there to help with the rough winds, particularly during the hurricane season. There are many flowers pots hanging from the house as decorations. A mother and child are standing in front of the house while a dog lays asleep a few feet away. Hojas alternas, compuestas, grandes; folíolos subcoriáceos, oblongos, redondeados en el ápice, cuneados en la base, verdes en el haz, pálidos o glaucos en el envés. Panículas muy ramificadas; numerosas flores blancuzcas, densamente agregadas en las ramas. Drupa oval a oblongo-oval de color rojo brillante y negra al madurar, con delgada pulpa blanca. Arbre petit ou moyen pouvant atteindre 15 m de hauteur, glabre. Feuilles alternes, composées, grandes; folioles subcoriaces, oblongs, arrondis à la pointe, cunéiformes à la base, verts sur le dessus, pâles ou glauques à l’envers. Panicules très ramifiées; nombreuses fleurs blanchâtres, recouvrant densément les branches. Drupe ovale à oblongue-ovale de couleur rouge brillant, noire à maturité, avec fine pulpe blanche.
