In 1924, Maybelle ‘Ma’ Ewen opened the twelve room Doctor’s Cave Hotel, which later became known as the Casa Blanca Beach Hotel. This was the first hotel in Montego Bay, Saint James, Jamaica. View of the Caribbean Sea and the city of Montego Bay, Saint James, Jamaica from the gardens of the Shaw Park Hotel. White wooden chairs have been placed on the lawn facing the ocean. One chair is shaded by an almond tree. In the foreground can been seen a water pipe and a large cast iron hand pump. Hibiscus plants form a fence separating the lawn from the slope of the hill. The Round Hill resort sits on a peninsular bluff in Montego Bay, Saint James, Jamaica. The resort opened its doors in 1953 as a "cottage colony." It was founded by John Kenneth McKenzie Pringle, Jamaica’s first Director of Tourism (1963-1967) and designed by William Ballard. Slide labeled Round Hill.

This former great house in Montego Bay, Saint James, Jamaica was originally owned by the Dewar family in the 1700s. The Dewar family is related to the Scottish family who own Dewar Whiskey. This busy area of Ocho Rios has pedestrians walking along the streets, multiple parked cars, and a city bus. A retail shop displays many advertisement signs for Pepsi Cola and Master Card. The traffic sign indicates that Ocho Rios is seven miles from Saint Ann's Bay and sixty-five miles from Montego Bay. Slide labeled Ocho Rios.
