Provincial exhibitions and colonial identities in the Nineteenth Century ; Expositions provinciales et identités coloniales au XIXe siècle Auteur(s) : LOZERE, CHRISTELLE, Auteurs secondaires : Archéologie Industrielle, Histoire, Patrimoine- Géographie, Développement, Environnement de la Caraïbe [EA 929] (AIHP-GEODE) ; Université des Antilles et de la Guyane (UAG) Éditeur(s) : HAL CCSD Association culturelle Diacronie Résumé : International audience Is it possible to construct a history of France’s ‘colonial exhibitions’ without mentioning those organized in the Nineteenth Century at Bordeaux, Nantes, Metz, Le Havre, Lyon, Rochefort, Cherbourg, Beauvais, Nice, Montauban, Rouen and Tours? By studying the scenography of these little-known provincial exhibitions, this paper seeks, firstly, to understand the economic, political and especially symbolic issues for these towns (especially the ports) around the construction of their colonial identities; secondly, it wants to determine the role of the State in the dissemination and gradual popularization of a unified national discourse. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the way in which the guesthouse owners from Maramureş carry out a social and symbolic construction of their identity in the presence of the tourists during the season of fasting, reflection and preparation before the celebration of Easter, during this religious holiday and the days after that. Starting from a socio-anthropological description of the “ingredients” of this religious holiday we aim at identifying its transgressions and their meanings in the context of the rural family-type tourism. We try to understand the “how” and the “why” of the logics which are behind the instrumentalisation of certain symbols of this religious holiday in the private sphere of identification. We assume that the disobedience to certain ancestral practices associated with this religious holiday answers the guesthouse owners’ tourism marketing needs. Behind the study of the mechanisms of “putting on display” items of collective identification selected by the guesthouse owners, it is the question of identity which is the heart of our reflection. Some Corsican cities like Bastia, Bonifacio, Calvi or Corte have old centers enshrined in military engineering works build originally for defensive functions: the citadels. This article invited to question the patrimony of insular urban citadels not for itself, but like the object of social and symbolic system, taken in patrimonialization process who engaged various logics of actions and conditions of operations, many actors and uses. So, it’s this unstable pluralism of patrimonial uses and representations that had been prioritized to grasp the social, cultural, politic and symbolic stakes bounded locally at these processes. This paper is based on field’s works realized in Calvi, in Balagna area, located in west Corsica. In current consumer societies, cinematography plays a privileged role as a spreading vehicle. So, it is relevant to recognize how films build their messages and fix in the social imaginary. The The Bling Ring film (2013), by American Sofia Coppola; Les Derniers Jours du monde (2009), by French brothers Arnaud and Jean -Marie Larrieu; and The Great Gatsby (2013), by Australian Baz Luhrmann, have in common the exploration of a luxurious and ostentatious world. The analysis focusses on certain text passages, allowing the identification of constituent elements, visual strategies and social values used by these three films in the representation of the overabundance field. Despite the diversity of cultural contexts, the goal is to recognize textual affinities on exposing these exclusive spaces, and to point out the expressed symbolic and social concerns. In the 20th Century, in France, Martinique and Québec, the world of Work is still characterized by persistent professional disparities. Should the not-mixing be an invariant whatever the contexts, in the general managerial function, or in other words, the professional vertical segregation in the company ?The Manager’s and decider’s cultural reference tables remain still male. The representations built by themselves on the women and men social roles in work area are quickly and durably condensed in negative stereotypes against the women. From the theory of the central core of Abric (abric’score), it seems appropriate to try to identify the main determinants which presided over the construction of these stereotypes. This hard core would be constituted by symbolic and social historic determinism. Be interested in the "demolition" of the sexual stereotypes against the women establishes a way to rethink the collective action to act more effectively in regards to professional mixing. Indeed, several works showed that under certain conditions, the central elements of a representation could be sensitive to information coming to contradict them.To make a success of the professional mixing between the women and men in the general managerial function of companies requires so much on behalf of the government policy, a that of the human resources, strong actions raising stakes in the elimination of stereotypes and demolition of the social role assigned to the woman since millenniums. http://www.theses.fr/2015AGUY0846/document | Partager |
