With the act of 23rd of June 1973 the assets of the bank were used to establish the Workers Savings and Loan Bank. In 1953, the co-educational school Moore Town Primary and Junior High School in Portland, Jamaica was established as an all age school. The Bump Grave monument of Nanny of the Maroons is erected across the road at the front of the school. Nanny sometimes known as, Granny Nanny, is Jamaica’s only female National Hero. Montego Bay, Saint James, Jamaica became popular as a sea bathing destination when in 1906 Doctor Alexander James McCatty donated the land to the community and rumors spread that the waters off this beach had health benefits. The beach received its name from Doctor McCatty and his physician friends and because the original entrance was through a cave, which was destroyed in a 1932 hurricane. The image is of tourists sea bathing in the Caribbean Sea while children play in the sand of Doctor's Cave Beach.

View of the former court house and the façade of the King's House in Spanish Town, Saint Catherine, Jamaica. On the left is the former court house, which was constructed in 1819 by James Delancy, on the site of a Spanish chapel and cemetery. In 1986, the court house was destroyed by fire. On the right is old King's House, or governor's mansion, completed in 1762. Thomas Craskell, the Island Engineer, was responsible for preparing the King's House building plans. The mansion was destroyed during a fire in 1925 and now houses the Jamaican People's Museum of Crafts and Technology. In the center of the image are buildings on King's Street. In the image are children playing on the side walk and people resting in the shade of the King's House facade. Slide labeled Spanish Town.

Vehicles and children on Bamboo Avenue in Saint Elizabeth, Jamaica. Bamboo Avenue, also known as “Bamboo Walk,” is a highway approximately 2.5 miles long planted with bamboos forming an arched canopy over the road. It is also known as Holland Bamboo because it was planted by the owners of Holland sugar estate and dates back to the mid 1700s. The purpose of the grove was to provide shade for plantation slaves and owners of the estate while on their way to the town of Lacovia. Slide labeled Jam. bamboo.
