Résumé : The slides were taken on collecting trips sponsored by the William L. Bryant Foundation, where books, music and art indigenous to the regions were gathered. The are organized by geographical location.
The British Colonial Hotel, now the British Colonial Hilton Hotel, is located on the site of Fort Nassau which was demolished in 1837. By 1900, Henry Flagler had built the original Colonial Hotel, the only beachfront hotel in Nassau, which was destroyed by fire. A Mediterranean-style replica opened in 1922. The hotel offers views of Nassau Harbor and was the location for two James Bond movies.
