The Jinnah Memorial Mosque, completed by 1954, was named for the founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah. The mosque serves as the headquarter for the Trinidad Muslim League, established in 1947. The mosque’s design includes South Asian Islamic architectural elements, for example the main dome is topped with a crescent and star and flanked by two minarets. The mosque is located in the Saint Joseph neighborhood of Port of Spain. In the image, three men are gathered near a bicycle on the side walk in front of the mosque. Slide labeled Trin. 5.
