Tome 3 Auteur(s) : Charuau, Anatole Biseau, Alain Charuau, Anatole Biseau, Alain Résumé : All the biological elements obtained in the two first phases of the study and the basical economical data are synthetized in a bio-economical model. From a typology of French fleets fishing in Celtic Sea, the carried out "métiers" (target-species + areas) are pointed out, which allows to define spatio-temporal "boxes". In each compartment, at a given time, the interactive components between fleets and stocks are known. The principle of the model consists to distribute, for each time interval, the fleets in each box. The allocation of fishing effort is assigned by two coefficients : "adherence" and "preference", expressing the abilities of fleets to seize the opportunities. Thus, it is possible to assess the consequences of usual management measures : quotas, mesh size, limitation of fishing effort, etc ... From fleet census to sampling schemes: an original collection of data on fishing activity for the assessment of the French fisheries Auteur(s) : Berthou, Patrick Guyader, Olivier Leblond, Emilie Demaneche, Sebastien Daures, Fabienne Merrien, Claude Lespagnol, Patrick Éditeur(s) : ICES 2008 Annual Science Conference, 22-26 september 2008, HALIFAX, CANADA Résumé : The development on the ecosystem-based approach to fisheries implies to improve integrated analysis of fisheries by considering the biological as well as the socio-economic dimensions of the exploitation and thus, an improvement in the knowledge of fleets structure, evolution and activity. Since 2000, Ifremer has been implemented a Fisheries Information System (FIS), a multidisciplinary monitoring network allowing an integrated and comprehensive view of fishery systems including biological, technical, environmental and economical components. The FIS covers all the French fisheries, including the so-often neglected small-scale fisheries. One of the originalities of the FIS lies in the fleet monitoring procedure: a comprehensive collection of annual activity calendars aiming at characterizing the inactivity or activity of the vessels each month of the year and, in the latter case, the métiers practised (use of a gear to target one or several species) and the main fishing areas. This survey covers all the French fishing fleets and provides minimum but exhaustive information on the vessels. It is particularly instructive for the small-scale fisheries, where catches and effort data are often incomplete. Furthermore, this exhaustive data allows stratifying the fleet in fleets (typologies) and thus provides the basis (i) for the implementation of sampling schemes to estimate catches, landings, discards or economic performance of the different fleets and (ii) for the development of a fleet-métier matrix giving the possibility of identifying at the time, the structure of the whole fleet in fleets, the métier polyvalence of the vessels and the allocation of fishing effort on the different exploited fishing resources. Typologie de la flottille chalutière du port de Sète par une méthode de segmentation Auteur(s) : Taquet, Marc Gaertner, Jean-claude Bertrand, Jacques Éditeur(s) : Edp Sciences S A Résumé : This work aims to define a typology of trawler f1eet in Sète, the main fishing harbour along the French Mediterranean coast, using several multivariate analysis methods. The fishing ships taken to account are represented by annual profiles of landing specific compositions. Five fishing strategies have been identified. A segmentation method using symbolic objects allows a formaI characterisation of the different strategies. These strategies are studied according to several general characteristics usually used for management rules elaboration (power, length, ship age). The typological analysis allows to characterise two main exploitation ways, one directed to the catch of a few species (Engraulis encrasicolus, Sardina pilchardus), the other characterised by the exploitation of a great diversity of species. By this way, it is possible to estimate how the catch of low represented species can significantly contribute to the exploitation of a resource.
Systèmes d'exploitation en pêche côtière ; méthode d'étude et application au cas des Pertuis Auteur(s) : Moussard, F Éditeur(s) : ESITPA, Rouen Résumé : This report presents a functional typology of the exploitation systems of fisheries in the Charentais sounds. It describes the nature of such a typology as well as the method developed in relation to the topic of the study. The determination and formalization accepted to characterise the exploitation systems are outlined. Also presented is the evaluation of the value of the vessels of the sounds fleet. Types are identified based on two main explanatory variables: capital and work. They enable us to set the internal dynamics of the production system straight.
